It has been recently said by the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) authorities that drugs like Percocet, which are addictive in nature, may now be included in the new drug mix up plan by Novartis. They are of the warning that this might be the potential reason for a terrible drug mix up.

In the recent past, there have been a number of broken and tampered with bottles and chipped pills seen. This might be an indication towards the fact that these medicines are tamped with. This was an incident that took part in Lincoln facility and this was also the reason for as many as 1,645 lots of recalled over the counter drugs from Novartis.

In the wake of the same, the consumers were advised to stop using these products as they might be harmful to them. The drugs that the patients were warned against using are NoDoz, Excedrin, Gas-X, and Bufferin and so on.

The FDA officials are of the view that many of these Novartis over the counter drugs were actually accidentally packed with some powerful painkillers made at the same facility. It was a very careless mistake that could even lead to fatalities and other dangers.

“The FDA is working with Endo and Novartis to minimize the degree of impact. The degree of shortage will depend upon how quickly safeguards can be put in place to prevent this manufacturing issue from happening in the future”, said the FDA in a recent revelation.

It is advisable that the people steer clear from using these specific medicines at least till the doubts are cleared ad there has bn a detailed investigation conducted by the authorities. There is need for removing human errors n these important sectors, which could mean a matter of life and death to people.
